When a family from Blackburn renovated their new home, they wanted the very best and painstakingly researched various suppliers. Back in 1991 they admired Kitchen Design Centre’s kitchens and showroom and vowed to have one of their kitchens one day. Fast forward twenty-two years and their wish has come true – with stunning results.
They approached other kitchen suppliers for comparison but Blackburn Showroom Manager Will Hustler won hands down with his innovative designs, a competitive price and an unrivalled level of service. Working with renowned builders John Moore and Sons, Kitchen Design Centre created not only an incredible kitchen but two other rooms: a bespoke pantry and utility room.
Both rooms enhance and complement the kitchen; the large pantry is a beautiful Hampton Ocean blue colour with roller shutters meaning everything can be neatly hidden away but easily accessed. In contrast to the main kitchen, a shaker style was chosen. The utility, which also doubles up as a spice kitchen, is also shaker style in the same blue, and provides additional cooking space and a large area for laundry.
As keen cooks, appliances were important and the family loved the capabilities of Neff, opting for a Slide and Hide oven, Steam Oven, Combination Microwave Oven and a Gas Hob. One item they especially love is the Quooker Pro3 Flex tap which makes cooking a breeze thanks to instant hot or chilled water.
For the kitchen design, symmetry was important to the family so Will ensured this with the two large pull-out larder units and warming drawers which are a great hit. The family initially wanted blue units but when they saw new display in Blackburn’s showroom in Black Putty Concrete, they immediately switched to match it.
With it’s feature tile wall, the finished kitchen looks incredible and together with the pantry and utility room, it’s a real show stopper. The family are delighted with it and with Will and the Kitchen Design Centre team. They were bowled over with Will’s patience and help. Such a large project inevitably meant there were hold-ups and changes and the family found Will to be incredible, constantly adapting and reassuring them and ensuring the finished outcome was as they wanted. They found the fitters to be fantastic too; working to a meticulously high standard.
Designer Will Hustler says, “the discerning client made many visits to our showroom, but we always made time for them to make sure they achieved their goal. As a company we pride ourselves on being able to navigate necessary changes, which can happen with a complex build, to ultimately make their 22-year dream come true.”
